Updates

What is new

We improve DoneQuote continuously. Here is what changed, what shipped, and what got more reliable.

September 2026

Fixed

Request page no longer zooms on iPhone

When a customer tapped a button or field on your request page, the iPhone zoomed the whole screen in. They then had to pinch back out. The fields are large enough now, so it no longer happens.

Fixed

Help retries when the AI reply is garbled

The Help chat no longer fails on the first unreadable AI reply. DoneQuote asks again and repairs a cut-off answer when it can, so the explanation still lands.

Fixed

Make customer-friendly retries a bad AI reply

Make customer-friendly no longer fails on the first garbled AI reply. DoneQuote asks again and repairs a cut-off answer when it can, so the restructure still lands.

Fixed

The setup helper now confirms in your language

After you applied a setup-helper suggestion, the confirmation sometimes came back in Dutch — even with an English account. That is fixed: the confirmation now follows your company language.

Fixed

An approved quote keeps its files

After a customer said yes, photos and attachments could still be deleted or replaced. That is closed. What they approved stays. To change something, use Reopen and send again.

Fixed

No quote with 0 quantity

A line with 0 quantity could still go out. That stops now: set the quantity first, then send.

Fixed

Your own units stay put

If you created your own unit, like sqft or linear ft, it snapped back to the moment you saved. That is fixed: a service now keeps exactly the unit you pick. Services & prices, price list import, and materials also show your own labels now instead of Dutch ones.

Improvement

A plain price list imports right away

If your price list is a tidy set of columns — name, price, unit — we now read it straight through without involving the AI. That saves you the best part of a minute, and your descriptions and AI hints arrive exactly as you wrote them. Files with formulas, price tables or surcharges still go to the AI, because that is what it is good at.

Fixed

Retry no longer restarts a running draft

Clicking retry while the AI was still drafting a quote sometimes started over. The run that is already going now keeps going.

Fixed

Older quote links work again

A quote link from an older email with mixed capital letters sometimes showed page not found. The same link works now, whatever the capitals.

Fixed

Price list import no longer keeps you waiting for nothing

When an import stalled, you watched a spinner for over two minutes while it quietly retried three times, each time against the same wall. Now the AI gets one longer attempt, and if that does not land you hear it straight away: this file took too long to read, with the tip to try one sheet at a time. No more vague error, and no more minutes spent waiting for an answer that was never coming.

New

A matched template now brings its cover photo along

The AI already picked a template for an incoming request, but your draft still looked like every other draft. It now carries that template's presentation across: the cover photo is already in place, cropped the way you framed it on the template, and the proposal follows your template's build — your order, your renamed headings, your standing text such as "About us" — and if the AI writes a section under one of those headings, your own words are the ones that stay. Sections you hid on the template stay hidden — and if you removed the cover photo or hid the cover block, it stays gone. When no template fits, nothing changes: you get a draft with no cover photo, exactly as before.

Fixed

Deleted quotes leave the dashboard

A quote you moved to trash from the dashboard stayed in the recent list with a Deleted badge. That is gone: after you remove it, the row leaves. You can still find it under Quotes → Deleted and restore it there.

Fixed

View Pro opens the right prices

View Pro in Settings now opens the pricing page in your language. An English account goes to the English page; a Dutch account stays on the Dutch one.

August 2026

Fixed

The AI chat no longer dead-ends on long text

On a long introduction the AI could keep retrying behind the scenes until your browser had already given up — you never got an answer, and Try again started the exact same dead-end round. The server now stops in time and says plainly that it failed. And a text that got cut off halfway because it ran too long is no longer written silently over your existing introduction: you get a clear message instead of half a sentence.

Fixed

The cursor starts in the first field

Open New customer and the cursor now sits in First name instead of the AI box next to it. You can start typing straight away, no click needed. The AI box also got a proper name, so screen readers announce it correctly.

Improvement

The customer link is always within reach

The link your customer sees lived only inside the send dialog. Close it and the link was gone. On a sent quote you now get Copy customer link in the button row at the top right of the editor, and in the menu on mobile. One click puts the link on your clipboard, ready to paste into WhatsApp.

Fixed

Extended now really means extended

With Introduction length set to Extended you still got a short text: a fixed rule in the AI instruction held the introduction to one or two paragraphs, whatever you picked. Extended now produces 3 to 5 full paragraphs. If you ask the AI for a longer text yourself, that always beats the setting. And when you ask it to rewrite the letter based on your services, the introduction may now name those services instead of avoiding them.

Improvement

The quote table stays a table

On an ordinary laptop screen the pricing table fell back to the narrow phone view — lines stacked instead of proper columns. It happened as soon as the AI panel or the outline took up room. The table now only switches once it genuinely runs out of width, in the editor and on the quote your customer sees. And on a small screen the labels and amounts finally line up.

Fixed

Retry just the text after a half-finished AI turn

Asking the AI to change your pricing and your intro in one message could leave the text half done. The chat only said "ask for that part again", so you had to retype it. Now there is a Try again button that redoes the text only, leaving the line items you just changed untouched.

Fixed

English AI intake no longer reads Dutch field labels

The AI that runs your quote intake now follows your account language all the way through, including the hidden field descriptions that tell it what to extract. An English account no longer gets Dutch summaries of an English conversation, and an empty voice-intake request is labelled in English too.

Improvement

English addresses in Settings

Company, Emails & letters, Billing, and quote Templates now have English URLs. Old bookmarks and links redirect automatically, so you will not hit a 404.

Fixed

English validation on signup

Signing up in English now shows English error messages when a name is missing or invalid. Those used to stay in Dutch, while email and password already followed the page language.

Fixed

English fallbacks on lists and buttons

English vendors no longer see Dutch fallbacks on empty quote lists, unnamed customers, buttons like Send/Change, or the materials import. That copy now follows the account language.

Fixed

Download filenames now follow your language

Folder and file names in the quote download now follow your account language. An English account gets Quote …, Attachments, and data.md; a Dutch account still sees Offerte …, Bijlagen, and gegevens.md.

Fixed

Quote terms stay fixed

Sent quotes now always open the terms and conditions that applied when they were sent. If you upload or remove a terms file later, customers still see the right document on older quotes.

Improvement

Quote numbers now start with QUO-

New quotes are numbered QUO-2026-048 instead of OFF-. Drafts use DRAFT- until you send; the sequence stays the same. Existing numbers already in your books and your customers' inboxes do not change.

Fixed

Request source in sentence case

On the requests list, the source now sits in sentence case — "via form", "via email" — on English accounts too. Dutch already did this; English kept the capital letter by accident.

Improvement

US addresses now include a state

On a US account you now enter street, city, state and ZIP — state is a two-letter select (IL, CA, …). Without it, Springfield, 62704 could be anywhere. Dutch addresses stay street / no. / postcode / city, unchanged.

Fixed

English vendors see English AI history

After a price check, text check, or Make customer-friendly, version history now follows your account language instead of always showing Dutch.

Fixed

Your last line now survives a page reload

Type a line in the quote editor, reload the page right after, and that line could disappear. It happened when the save was still on its way. Your last change is now always sent before the page closes. The quote also no longer gets stuck showing as "being edited in another tab".

Fixed

Request chat stays at the bottom by the input

After an answer in the AI intake, the conversation jumped to the top, leaving a blank stretch down to the input. The latest message now stays at the bottom, right above where your customer types or picks.

Fixed

Intake fields now follow your account language

Contact and address fields in the AI intake chat — and the house-number label on the public request form — now follow your account language. An English account shows Name, Email address, and No. instead of Naam, E-mailadres, and Nr.

Fixed

Letter editor now in English

The formatting toolbar, / menu, and AI commands in the quote editor now follow your account language. Dutch commands like /klantvriendelijk still work.

Fixed

Settings and error toasts in your language

Templates, the quote theme, the requests page, and AI/save error toasts now follow your account language. An English account no longer gets Dutch default template text.

Improvement

All input fields now sit in one place

When the AI asks your customer for contact details, an address or a number, that input now always sits at the bottom of the conversation, where your customer is already typing. It used to appear mid-conversation with a second Send button below it, which was confusing. Every field now has the same styling and the same buttons, and Cancel always takes your customer back to plain typing.

Fixed

AI now writes in your language, including auto-drafted quotes

Quotes that DoneQuote drafts automatically — from the request form, an inbound email, or AI intake — now follow your account language. The same is true for onboarding AI (price-list import, website extraction, business profile) and AI review notes. An English account no longer gets Dutch drafts.

Fixed

US trade list at signup

Signing up in English now shows trades an American contractor would recognise — pressure washing, HVAC, landscaping — instead of translated Dutch job titles. Settings uses the same localized list.

Fixed

Quote editor uses your own unit labels

US vendors were seeing Dutch unit names like vast and while building a quote, even though the customer page already showed fixed and sq ft. The editor, pricing table, and version history now use your own unit labels. Dutch accounts are unchanged.

Fixed

No more Dutch leaking into English

U.S. vendors were still seeing Dutch copy in places that should have gone through t() — including "Anders…" on custom units, table error states, and the voice intake their customers fill in. Those screens now follow the account language. New Dutch strings in the vendor app are blocked in CI.

Fixed

The AI intake chat now speaks your account language

The AI chat customers use to request a quote now follows your account language all the way through. An English account gets a native English intake — no more Dutch instructions with one English sentence tacked on.

Improvement

Choice questions in the intake now look the same

Questions where your customer picks one option or ticks several now sit down by the input box, in the same look as the rest of the questionnaire: clear rows, numbered shortcuts, a field for a different answer and one confirmation. Rather type? Cancel brings the text box straight back. With multiple options your customer can also pick None of these. All in the colours and styling of your own request page.

Fixed

AI quotes now follow your account language

The AI that drafts a quote now follows your account language in the instructions themselves. An English account gets a native English quote-generation prompt — no more Dutch pricing and template rules with one English sentence tacked on.

Fixed

Founder emails and proposal copy now follow your account language

The AI that drafts Wes's personal welcome email, and the AI that writes the proposal text on a quote, now follow your account language. An English account gets native English instructions — no more Dutch prompt with one English sentence tacked on.

Fixed

Remaining AI instructions now follow your account language

The remaining AI instructions — service import, the settings helper, quote review, emails, and the rest — now follow your account language. An English account gets native English instructions, not a Dutch prompt with one English sentence tacked on. Quantities are no longer converted into a different unit.

Improvement

US addresses and units without Dutch defaults

On a US account you now type the address by hand (street, number, ZIP, city) — the Dutch address lookup does not work there. New US accounts start with categories like Labor, Materials, Equipment and units in sq ft and ft. Nothing changes for Dutch accounts.

New

Example pricing models for US trades

Every US trade page now has a public pricing model: what you charge per job, your base rates, and the pricing rules that go with them. The numbers come from federal wage data and published market rates, so you are not starting from a blank page.

New

There is a game on donequote.com

donequote.com/game is now a small platform game. You roll the mark through three levels that follow the road from request to signed deal: collect the right details, send the quote before a rival does, then get past the last objections to the signature.

It plays in the browser, including on your phone.

Improvement

Knowledge-base articles are wider, and tables finally fit

Articles now use one column with larger type, so pricing and comparison tables get the full width instead of clipping. An index on the left follows your scroll position. Every table now sits on a white sheet, like a real document. When one still does not fit, it scrolls inside that sheet and a white edge shows there is more.

Improvement

The bird in our logo follows your mouse

Bring your mouse near the logo and the bird turns orange and looks straight at you. Get closer still and it hops onto your cursor, rolls along with you across the page, and flies back to its perch when you drop it off there.

A small piece of fun on every page of the site. On a phone, and for anyone who has reduced motion turned on, the logo simply sits still.

Fixed

Big quotes no longer stall

A draft being written in the background could give up after 45 seconds, even though the AI had a full eight minutes available. On large jobs with photos this happened now and then, and you would get an email saying the draft had failed. The AI now gets the time the job needs. Also fixed: changing who sends a quote sometimes threw an error when you had the editor and the send dialog open at once.

Improvement

New guides for getting paid

The English knowledge base now has seventeen invoicing and payment guides for U.S. contractors. They cover terms, deposits, progress billing, late payments, commercial payment processes, and records, with practical examples and clear flags where state rules differ.

Improvement

Clearer AI follow-up questions

When AI needs more detail, the chat input now temporarily becomes a compact questionnaire with clear choices, a recognisable field for another answer, and one confirmation. With multiple questions, you can go forward, back, or cancel the list. The regular input returns afterwards and submitted answers remain visible in the conversation. This also works in the public AI intake using the request page's own colours and styling. Your messages inside DoneQuote also use a calmer dark colour.

Improvement

Eighteen finding-jobs guides for U.S. contractors

The U.S. knowledge base now includes eighteen practical guides on finding work: Google Business Profile, reviews and referrals, lead platforms, property managers, bids, and slow seasons. Rules and platform terms point readers to current primary sources where they vary.

Improvement

Twelve guides on sales tax and business admin for U.S. contractors

U.S. sales tax varies by state, and that's exactly where contractors get stuck. The knowledge base now has twelve new guides: from whether labor is taxable to who owes tax on materials when you're the one buying them, plus practical admin like W-9s, mileage logs, and how long to keep which receipts.

Improvement

Sixteen U.S. guides on customer relationships

The U.S. knowledge base now has sixteen practical guides on customer relationships: setting expectations, handling difficult conversations, scope creep, answering a bad review, maintenance agreements, and turning one job into repeat business.

Improvement

Ten new estimate guides in the knowledge base

The English knowledge base had three short, vague articles about writing estimates. They are now real ones, plus seven new: what to include in every estimate, estimate vs. quote vs. bid, how long an estimate should stay valid, offering good/better/best options, whether to charge for an estimate, why customers go quiet after an estimate, and getting an estimate approved in writing. Each one carries worked examples, a full template, and the U.S. rules that vary by state.

Improvement

Ten worked estimate examples, one per trade

The knowledge base has ten new guides: full worked estimate examples for plumbers, electricians, painters, roofers, HVAC contractors, cleaners, landscapers, remodelers, fencing contractors and concrete crews. Each one walks through a worked estimate example line by line — scope, exclusions, and the lines that head off an argument later.

Improvement

Eighteen U.S. guides on contracts and scope

The U.S. knowledge base now has eighteen practical guides on clear scope, change orders, deposits, warranties, and closeout. Legal rules are clearly marked as state-specific, so contractors know what to confirm locally.

Fixed

Changing your country during onboarding works again

While filling in your company details, the country could get stuck on United States: the phone field's country-code dropdown opened right on top of the Country field. Country now comes before phone, so you can always change it — currency and VAT follow along correctly.

Fixed

The send dialog now fills in the customer's e-mail

If you attached a customer only after the editor was already open and then clicked Publish, the e-mail field in the send dialog stayed empty and Send e-mail stayed greyed out. The greeting still used the right name.

The field now picks up the customer's address, even when you added them later. Clicking the E-mail address label puts the cursor in the box.

Fixed

Ctrl-click opens a new tab again

A few buttons took you to another page but were not real links. Ctrl-click or cmd-click therefore gave you no new tab: you simply left the page you were on. The menu in the quote editor did the same to links that worked fine on their own.

Everything that takes you to another page is now a real link. Ctrl-click, cmd-click and middle click open a new tab, and the page you were working on stays put.

Improvement

English is now the default language

DoneQuote is focusing on the U.S. market, so new accounts now start in English with dollars and no VAT. Arrive through a Dutch page and everything stays Dutch: the signup form, your account and your quotes.

Nothing changes for existing accounts. Country and language stay editable under Settings → Company.

Fixed

A tidy-up of the English FAQ

Two questions on the English site were published twice, each on its own page. They are merged now, and the old addresses redirect to the right one. 31 answers also carried a fragment of technical junk that was being passed on to Google. That is gone.

Improvement

The English site now lives at the main address

donequote.com now opens the English site. The Dutch site moves to /nl, so /prijzen becomes /nl/prijzen and /functies becomes /nl/functies.

You do not have to do anything: every old link redirects to its new home. The language switcher in the footer keeps working, and your account, quotes and customer links are unchanged.

Improvement

Ten trade-by-trade rate guides, and a licensing guide

What do plumbers, electricians, painters, cleaners or roofers actually charge? The knowledge base now has ten guides, one per trade, each with real figures and an honest account of why the number moves by state. Plus a separate guide on when you need a contractor license, carrying the threshold rules from three states.

Improvement

Ten new pricing guides in the knowledge base

The English knowledge base had ten short, vague articles about pricing. They are now ten real ones: calculating your hourly rate, material markup, travel time, overhead and profit, discounting without losing margin and more. Each one carries worked examples, real dollar figures, and pointers to the U.S. rules that vary by state.

Improvement

Marketing pages can now be read as markdown

AI assistants reading donequote.com now get clean markdown instead of HTML when they ask for it, at exactly the same URL. That skips the part of the page only browsers need, so they find the answer faster and more completely. It covers the marketing pages that have a prose source, blog articles included; the legal pages stay HTML. Nothing changes for visitors.

Improvement

Pick the aspect ratio of your cover photo

The big photo at the top of your proposal was locked to one wide strip, so an ordinary phone photo showed only a thin slice. Now you choose 16:6, 16:9, 3:2 or Original — Original shows the whole photo, uncropped. Dragging also works left and right for a wide photo, not just up and down. Cover photos are stored at a higher quality too, and you get a warning when your photo is narrower than 1600 px.

New

New About page

There is now an About page with the story behind DoneQuote, both co-founders, what DoneQuote does and does not do, and our company details. Useful when a customer or an AI assistant wants to know who is behind the tool. The 404 page now points you at the knowledge base, the FAQ and the sitemap instead of only the homepage.

New

A page for AI agents and developers

A new For AI agents page explains when to reach for DoneQuote, which machine-readable resources exist, and what DoneQuote is deliberately not for. The same guidance now opens our llms.txt, so an AI assistant recommending DoneQuote knows what to recommend it for.

Improvement

Times and amounts now follow your own country

Working from the United States, you now see dollars, US date formats and your own timezone — on your dashboard, in the quote editor and on the customer link. It used to show Dutch formatting everywhere.

Nothing changes for Dutch accounts. If you need a different timezone, we can set one per account.

Improvement

AI chat handles customer data, optional items, and billing frequencies more reliably

The AI chat in the proposal editor now handles four common cases correctly. Adding customer details executes immediately without a clarifying question. Optional items ("balcony optional, customer chooses") are turned into a choice group, not a letter edit. Rewriting the letter now picks up the correct billing frequencies and group structure. Changing a frequency applies the matching rate from the pricing table.

Fixed

AI edits keep your VAT rate

An AI instruction on an existing quote could silently change a line from 9% to 21% VAT — for example when you only asked it to edit a different section. New prices the AI invented during such an edit were also never told whether you work including or excluding VAT, so you could undercharge.

From now on each line keeps its rate, and a new price follows your VAT setting.

New

Your customers now get an automatic reminder

A quote about to expire and your customer hasn't replied? DoneQuote now sends a friendly reminder automatically, in your name and your writing style. Turn it on or off under Settings → Quote settings, "Offerteherinneringen", where you also pick how many days before the expiry date it goes out. Quotes nobody answers now also move to Verlopen (expired) on their own, exactly as your overview already shows them.

Fixed

Adding photos to the quote now actually works

When you asked the AI chat to add photos to the quote, DoneQuote sometimes only used them to draft line items and then dropped them. This happened most on a quote that was still empty.

The chat now recognises that request and files the photos with the quote, with Send with quote switched on.

Fixed

The intake assistant no longer asks the same thing twice

The request chat could keep repeating a per-floor split when the customer answered in text, or pretend it had looked up an existing customer. A partial answer now counts as the answer, and the assistant never fabricates a customer-record lookup: name and email are still needed for this request.

Fixed

Labels in the customer form are clickable

In the New customer dialog the labels above the fields did nothing: clicking "First name" did not put the cursor in the box. Screen readers and your browser's autofill could not recognise the fields either.

Every field is now tied to its label. Clicking the text puts you straight in the right box.

Fixed

Pasting long text into the AI chat works again

Pasting a long e-mail or description into the quote editor's AI chat sometimes came back as a cryptic "Invalid body" — and retrying gave the exact same message.

The chat now accepts the same length as the rest of the editor, so you can paste a full customer message in one go.

Fixed

Sending multiple photos is more reliable

When you added several large photos in the AI chat and chose Send with quote, one oversized upload request could make the whole batch fail.

DoneQuote now sends those files one by one. Files that already uploaded stay attached, and only failed files remain queued for retry.

Fixed

Price list import no longer stops on one odd row

If the AI built one row of your price list wrong, the whole import failed and all you got was an error. With a list of forty services, you lost everything.

From now on DoneQuote skips just that row and shows you the rest.

Fixed

Quote titles no longer default to the requester's name

Quotes auto-drafted from an intake request sometimes got the requester's name as the title instead of a description of the work. The AI now always generates a title based on the job content; if the model omits the title, it is derived from the first line item.

Improvement

Customers can now type quantities directly

When the AI intake asks for a quantity, a customer no longer has to click plus dozens of times. The number between minus and plus is now directly editable, while the buttons still work for small adjustments or press-and-hold changes.

Improvement

AI edits are about twice as fast

If you have a materials list, AI used to write your quote twice: once to think, once to deliver the answer. That is gone. An edit that needs no material lookup — which is most of them — now takes a single pass: from just over 15 seconds to just under 9, at half the cost.

Fixed

Taking a photo off a quote no longer deletes it from the request

When you removed a photo from a quote that came from a request, the photo vanished from the request too — silently, because the request page otherwise looked unchanged. Fixed. The trash icon now only takes a file off the quote; your customer's photo stays on the request. The same goes for attachments and for documents in your knowledge base.

Improvement

See when AI is drafting your quote

While AI is drafting a quote from a request, the list and pipeline show Drafting. Open the quote in the meantime and the page waits until the draft is ready — no need to refresh.

Fixed

AI now prices materials while editing too

Ask the AI assistant in a quote to add a material and it now looks it up in your materials list and fills in the price straight away. Until now that only happened while creating a quote; while editing one, the line stayed at €0.00.

Improvement

The price check now also looks at where a material price came from

When the AI prices a line from your materials list, the line now has to say which material it came from. Until now only the amount counted, so an invented price that happened to match a real one in your list slipped through the check. If the source is missing, the check asks the AI to write it down — your price stays where it is.

Fixed

VAT convention: prices now follow your setting, in the catalog and in the AI

If you price including VAT, prices could come through excluding it in two places, under your inclusive label. You were invoicing exactly the VAT too little.

In your quotes, since 2 July. When the AI drafted a quote inside the app, it was never told that you price inclusive. Line prices came back excluding VAT on a quote that was then shown as inclusive. Quotes generated from an incoming email or request were not affected. If you price including VAT, check your quotes from after 2 July: a line price that looks about 17% too low is this. It is correct from now on.

In the materials list. The import always stored supplier prices excluding VAT: a € 121 list price became € 100. This was fixed before the materials catalog went live, so no price in your list is wrong.

Materials now follow your own setting, the way your services already did. The price column, the input field, the import review step and the import itself all say which convention the number is in.

Improvement

Call-out fees stay their own line

A fixed cost like a call-out fee next to good/better/best now stays visible as its own line. The AI asks whether to fold that amount into each option — then it is really added to the package prices — or leave it as a separate line. The mark-as-starting-rate button in the editor is gone.

Fixed

No more flicker when opening a quote with a chat

A quote with an AI conversation or a customer message could briefly flicker when you opened it, losing your scroll position in the side panel. That is fixed: the editor now loads correctly the first time, and message times always show in Dutch time.

Fixed

Replies to a quote email now always arrive

Some mail apps (like Apple Mail) rewrite the reply address to lowercase. A customer reply could then silently disappear. Replies to your quote now land in the conversation, no matter how the address was rewritten in transit.

Fixed

Import highlights a VAT rate that isn't your default

If a price list states a VAT rate that isn't your default — 0%, for example — the review step now marks it, including on a first-time import. If the file says nothing about VAT, we fill in your company's default rate. That way you don't quote at 0% by accident.

Fixed

Import preview now shows the same price that gets saved

When importing a pricing table, the review step sometimes showed a different amount than the one stored in your services list after saving. The preview now uses the same average of the cells as the save, so you see what actually changes — including when you re-import an updated price list.

New

Automatic alert when a customer drops out of the AI chat

Someone starts a conversation with your AI chatbot and drops off before it becomes a request? You now automatically get an alert in your Notifications, and by email if you want, with whatever the customer already told the AI. You'll never miss a customer who was one step away from sending a request. Turn the email on or off under Settings → Account → Notifications, "AI intake not finished".

Improvement

The quote list is calmer on mobile

The quote list now has a compact mobile header with the quote count, view switch, and New. Search and Filters stay directly below it; selected quotes show only valid actions, and larger text remains readable.

Improvement

Clearer services by category

The services list now always shows categories as calm sections in one overview. Selection, prices, and actions stay reachable on mobile.

Improvement

A clearer last look before you save a price list

The final step of a materials import now tells you what it's about to do. Every row has a tick box — untick it and that row isn't saved — and the save button stays docked at the bottom, so you don't have to scroll past hundreds of rows to confirm. Skipped rows are explained instead of counted: section headings and total rows from your file aren't materials, and rows we genuinely couldn't read get their own warning. No longer in this file now looks only at the same file and sheet, so importing a workbook's second sheet doesn't report all of the first one as gone.

Improvement

Offerte.cc is now DoneQuote

Offerte.cc is now DoneQuote, at donequote.com. Nothing changes about the product: same quotes, same login, same pricing. You now sign in at donequote.com, and our email comes from @donequote.com, so check your spam folder for the first few days. Every quote link you have already sent keeps working, and replies to older quote emails still reach you. Why the change? The AI works just as well in any language, so we picked a name that travels.

Fixed

The quote editor no longer crashes on a translated page

If you used your browser's translate feature on the quote editor, the page could freeze on your next edit. The editor is now excluded from automatic translation, as the rest of your workspace already was.

Improvement

Requests stay readable on every screen

The requests list now distributes information automatically across the available space. On phones and tablets you read the customer first, then status and date, followed by the request, in compact cards without sideways scrolling. The status filter stays small and clear.

Improvement

Add one material without an import

Priced one extra article? You no longer have to re-import your whole price list: Materials now has a New material button. Large imports got faster and steadier too — files with thousands of rows are saved in batches with a counter showing how far along it is, and the comparison against your current list now runs on the server.

Fixed

Quote selection works reliably again

The quote list checkboxes now respond to mouse and keyboard input without opening the quote. The title also keeps the most space, making quotes easier to recognize.

Improvement

Clearer loading feedback everywhere

Loading, saving, and sending now use the same calm loading feedback throughout the product. A whole section that is still loading also stays clearly distinct from a button that is processing an action.

Improvement

Quote statuses are consistent everywhere

Quote statuses now use the same recognizable name and color in lists, the pipeline, and filters. Pipeline and filter icons match those cues, making draft and expired quotes easier to recognize.

Fixed

Older quotes no longer claim to be "one-off

Quotes made before billing periods existed all got Eenmalig (one-off) automatically, even when the line itself said "per 4 weken". The editor now shows Frequentie niet ingesteld (no frequency set) instead: honest, and you can see at a glance where a choice is still open. No amount changes, and whatever your customer saw or approved stays exactly as it was.

Fixed

Document uploads stay easy to use

On phones, the Knowledge Base upload form now opens as a drawer from the bottom; on desktop it remains centered. Long filenames stay contained and the upload actions remain reachable on short screens.

New

Every 12 weeks" as a billing period

You could already bill every 4 or every 8 weeks; every 12 weeks is now available too. Pick it on the pricing table next to the group title. If you curated your own list under Settings → Quotes, tick the new interval there. Two existing periods also read more clearly: "per quarter" is now every 3 months and "every half year" is now every 6 months.

Fixed

Example text no longer assumes one trade

The grey example text in empty fields was all about window cleaning, even if you're a landscaper, painter or photographer. Those examples are now trade-neutral. Where a concrete example genuinely helps, like your business description, you now get three examples from different trades side by side instead of one.

Fixed

Fixed blank unit on the service page

For some services the unit (like "per hour" or "per m²") could show up blank on the service page. That's now fixed, the unit displays correctly again.

Fixed

No more empty "one-off" lines on recurring quotes

If your quote consisted entirely of recurring lines (like "per month"), it still showed Subtotal one-off € 0.00 and Total one-off € 0.00 above the real amounts. Those empty lines are gone: in the quote, in the PDF and in the email to your customer you now only see the amounts that actually exist.

Fixed

Fixed empty quotes after an AI timeout

If the AI briefly timed out while drafting a concept, the quote could end up empty with no line items. It now retries automatically, so your draft gets filled in instead of arriving blank.

New

Abandoned chat conversations now show up with your requests

Someone starts a conversation with your AI chatbot, gives you their number, and then closes the tab. That conversation is no longer lost. It sits right in your list under Requests with the status Not finished — and the new status filter at the top brings them all together in one click. Open one to read the whole conversation back, contact details on top, so you can just call them yourself.

Fixed

\"Every 4 weeks\" in the AI chat now sets the billing interval

Typing every 4 weeks in the AI chat used to land as a frequency under Afspraken instead of on your pricing table. The AI now reads a bare frequency as the table's billing interval and switches it over — prices and quantities stay untouched. If you did mean an agreement, say so: "put in the agreements that we come every 4 weeks".

Improvement

Recurring costs read cleaner on quotes

When a quote has recurring costs — like a per 4 weken subscription — the billing period now sits once above the table, next to the group title, instead of trailing every line's amount. The totals column stays clean and the cadence is clear at a glance.

Improvement

Internal notes are now a conversation with your team

Internal notes now live in their own Internal tab, next to AI and Customer, with the same chat layout as the customer conversation. Write a note and send it — it shows up in the list right away with your name on it, so you always know it saved. Everyone on your team can leave their own notes. Notes from the old text field were carried over automatically.

Improvement

Make customer-friendly now works on recurring lines too

Make customer-friendly used to rewrite only the one-off part of a quote. If your quote consisted wholly or partly of recurring lines (like "every 4 weeks"), the action simply skipped that part — or even gave a confusing message. Recurring groups are now summarised neatly as well, and no line ever changes cadence: a one-off cost never moves into a recurring line, or the other way around.

Improvement

Structure and the AI button now sit next to the menu

On narrower screens the buttons for Structure and AI sat loose among the other actions in the quote editor, far from the side panels they open. They now sit right next to the back and menu buttons on the left of the bar — grouped more logically, and in the same place at every screen width in between.

Fixed

Fixed a rare password-reset page crash

For people whose browser automatically translates the page, the password-reset page could crash. That is fixed: the reset form now stays stable, so you can always finish setting a new password.

Improvement

The AI button on a block now opens straight into the input field

The ✦ icon in the block toolbar is now labelled Edit this block with AI and drops you straight into the AI chat's input field, ready to type your instruction — no extra click needed.

Fixed

AI text edits no longer stall on one slow section

Ask the AI to edit several text sections at once (say, the intro and a paragraph about trust), and all of them used to get dropped the moment just one took too long — even if the rest had already finished. Sections that come back in time are now applied as normal; only the slow one reports back separately.

Improvement

The approval block, at a glance

The closing approval block on the quote page now leads with the amount, big and clear — on quotes with recurring costs, each cadence (one-time, per month, per year) gets its own total with the subtotal and VAT shown above it, instead of one small table. Below that: the question, the buttons (Approve now comes first), and a quiet "Any questions?" link into the conversation. The sidebar and the pricing table now use the same layout, so an amount tells the same story everywhere.

Improvement

Add block" is easier to scan

The list of blocks you can add to a quote used to run in two columns, leaving a lot of empty space next to groups with just one option. It's now a single column — icon, name and description on one line — faster to scan, no more zigzagging.

Fixed

Every AI edit can now be undone

An AI edit to your proposal didn't always leave a restore point in the Version History — edits to just the text or the layout could fall through the cracks. Every AI edit now leaves its own, directly restorable version in the Version History, no matter which part the AI touched.

Fixed

Every total row now says which period it covers

On quotes with a recurring price table (say, every 4 weeks), Subtotal and Discount used to show no period at all, while only Total per 4 weeks did. The period now shows on all three rows, so it's never unclear which amount belongs to which period — in the editor, on the customer link, and in the PDF.

Fixed

You now see straight away when a block stays empty for the customer

A block you add (or one the AI creates) only reaches your customer's quote once there is something in it — while it is empty, we simply leave it out when you send. Until now that difference was invisible: you just saw the block sitting there in the editor. An empty block now gets an orange warning icon in the structure bar, and on Publish you get a clear notice telling you which blocks your customer will not see.

Improvement

Clear warning on an expired quote

An expired quote now shows a clear notice at the top of the quote, so the customer sees it right away instead of only when approving. Approving still works — the customer just gets a heads-up that the validity period has passed.

Improvement

Team & contact is easier to scan

The Team & contact block in the quote editor now shows your team members in a single column instead of side by side. Taking someone off the quote is no longer a delete button but a simple on/off selection — so you always see your whole team, including who is not on the quote right now, and you can add someone back with one click.

New

More billing periods to choose from

On top of weekly, every 4 weeks, monthly and yearly, you can now enable every 2 weeks, every 6 weeks, every 8 weeks, every 2 months, quarterly and every 6 months for your price tables. Handy for maintenance and cleaning work with its own rhythm. Pick exactly which periods you use under Settings → Quote → Billing intervals.

Fixed

AI quotes fail less often on complex requests

When a request comes in by email, the AI drafts a quote in the background. On a big, complex request that draft could take just long enough to get cut off and fail. The AI now gets more time, so even heavy requests come back as a complete draft.

Fixed

The AI now tells you what it left alone

Point the AI at one part of your quote, say the pricing table, then ask for something outside it? The chat now says what it left untouched, instead of claiming everything was applied. The editor then jumps to the part that actually changed. And if your selection points at a part that is no longer there, the AI asks you to pick again rather than rewriting the whole quote. On your phone, rate tables are now as editable as regular quote lines.

New

Materials list — large price sheets the AI looks up

Have a long article list (timber, lamps, fasteners, …) alongside your services? It now lives under Services & pricing → Materials. Import CSV or Excel: AI maps the columns once, then rows are parsed deterministically — we never invent prices. If your file has several sheets you do one at a time, and the list offers the next sheet as soon as you save. When drafting a quote, the AI looks materials up with a tool instead of stuffing the whole list into the prompt. Services stay as they were: curated, fully in the prompt.

Improvement

Quote buttons in your brand colors

On the public quote page your customer sees, a few buttons still used the default color instead of your brand. Now Approve, Send and the reply buttons follow your brand color, and the secondary buttons are clean outlined ones. Your quote looks consistently yours everywhere.

New

See every time a customer opens your quote

You now see every time a customer opens your quote in the logbook, with device (mobile or desktop), browser and time, not just the first open. So you know exactly how often and from where someone views your quote. Want an email on every open too? Turn it on under Settings → Account → Notifications.

Improvement

The proposal editor now works on your phone

The new editor is now usable on a phone. Tap anywhere on a block to edit it, blocks sit neatly apart instead of flush against each other, and you can reorder rows, groups and sections by dragging: press and hold to drag, while a quick swipe still scrolls.

New

Billing every 4 weeks and discounts per interval

You can now bill every 4 weeks and choose which billing periods appear in your quotes (Settings → Quotes). And discounts now work per interval: give, say, €10 off the every-4-weeks subscription and a separate discount on the one-time costs, independently of each other.

New

Call-out fees count toward every option

Got a quote with good/better/best and a fixed cost like a call-out fee? Mark that line as a starting rate and its amount folds into every option's price. Your customer compares the all-in price per package right away, with nothing to add up themselves. The AI now recognizes call-out and start-up fees on its own and sets them up as a starting rate.

Improvement

Rate lists now become a tidy rate table

Got a list of rates the customer sees for reference but isn't buying as part of the job (say, window-cleaning rates per floor or an hourly rate for extra work)? The AI now places them as a separate rate table below your proposal, with each rate on its own row, instead of cramming every price into the bullet list of a single line item's description.

Fixed

A clear message when a service name is already taken

Saving a service under a name you already used broke with a vague error. Now you get "You already have a service with this name" right away and can fix it in one go. Forgot to name a surcharge or discount? That gets a clear message too, instead of a technical error.

Improvement

Clearer proposals, fewer disputes later

An AI proposal now opens with your customer's situation in their own words, and the price explanation also names what is not included. Empty text blocks tell you what belongs in them, and the AI chat has two new suggestions ready: "Start with the customer's situation" and "Name what is not included".

New

Change your proposal's structure via chat

Ask the AI in the editor to change your proposal's structure: "put the approach above the price", "add phasing" or "hide the rates table". The AI moves, shows or hides the blocks, and a single undo brings everything back.

New

Four standard structures for your quote

Under Create from template you now find four standard structures: Compact, Standard, Recurring and Project. Each one puts the blocks in the order that fits the job. For a Project, your approach and phasing come before the price. The AI now also picks one of these structures itself when none of your own templates fit.

July 2026

Improvement

More reliable draft quotes from requests

Draft quotes from requests now follow your pricing rules more accurately. Frequencies, surcharges, and choices stay properly separated: yearly work is not treated as yearly billing, a service surcharge only appears when it applies, and frequency variants for the same service are offered as a choice. Separate services are no longer incorrectly combined into an either-or choice, while service-specific setup fees remain with the right option.

For fixed project prices, AI uses the detailed calculation in the background while your customer sees one clear final amount per service or choice. If one part is missing a required quantity or price, known prices remain intact and only the incomplete part gets a focused question instead of silently inventing a billable quantity.

The introduction is then created separately from the confirmed draft. Prices stay in the quote table, and repeated headings or salutations are no longer inserted into the text block.

Improvement

Smoother on your phone and a smarter intake

The quote editor now works much better on phones and tablets: bigger buttons, delete and move actions that are always visible, and a version history that fits a small screen. The intake assistant now respects skipping a question right away, and documents customers send along (like an emailed PDF) show up with the request. The editor also waits for the AI to finish your draft quote, so nothing gets lost.

Improvement

AI intake now asks for your contact details first

As soon as it understands what the job is about, the AI intake now asks for a phone number and email right away, before all the details. That way you can always follow up on a request, even if the customer drops off halfway. The work address is filled in through a proper address picker instead of free typing, and an address the customer corrects later now reaches you correctly.

New

Bulleted lists in your quote lines

Start a line in a quote item's notes with - and the editor turns it into a bulleted list: Enter sets up the next bullet for you, the way WhatsApp does it. Your customer sees real bullets on the quote page, and they come out properly in the PDF too. The AI does it on its own where it helps: when a line covers three or more separate steps, it lists them instead of packing them into one long sentence.

Improvement

Re-importing a price list now shows you what changes first

Upload an updated price list and we recognize the file, then show you the old and the new value side by side on every line. Whatever changes is marked, whether that is the price, the unit or the VAT rate. You check the changes before saving instead of finding out afterwards that your rates were overwritten. We keep the original file with your services, and if it has a VAT column we now pick that up too.

Improvement

AI intake, explained more clearly

The website now shows more clearly how the AI intake asks follow-up questions, gathers job details, and prepares a draft quote. AI intake and the classic request form now each have their own guide.

New

Build your proposals in one new editor

Quotes and templates now open in the same calm, visual editor, bringing your document, structure, and AI together. On mobile, a fixed action dock and practical bottom sheets keep editing comfortable, while reliable autosave prevents publishing until your latest change is safely stored.

Fixed

AI edits no longer get stuck

Ask the AI to split a long pasted job description into separate quote lines and it now turns it into tidy individual lines instead of stalling. If the line you split already had a price, it spreads that amount across the new lines instead of zeroing everything out. And if an edit does fail, a Try again button appears right on the message, so you never have to retype.

Fixed

A new quote survives a quick reload

Just started a new quote and refreshed the page right away? That first line could sometimes look lost. From now on your unsaved work is restored automatically when you come back, so you never have to retype it.

Improvement

Smarter AI behind your quotes

The AI that drafts your quotes, reads photos, and handles your intake now runs on Google's latest Gemini models. You'll notice sharper image and document recognition and cleaner wording in the quote itself.

Improvement

AI intake falls back gracefully to the form

If the intake chat runs into trouble, your customer no longer gets stuck. One click takes them to the regular request form, with whatever they already gave in the chat (name, address, description) prefilled. No more lost requests over a hiccup.

Fixed

Tidier Notifications count

The unread counter next to Notifications in the menu turned an ugly dark color on hover and on the notifications page. It now uses the same calm badge style everywhere.

Improvement

New pricing page and plans

The pricing page has been redesigned around three plans: Pro ($99/mo), Business ($299/mo), and Scale. Switch each plan between monthly and yearly, and a clear comparison table shows exactly what you get. Your first 10 quotes that you send stay free, with every Pro feature. The whole billing and subscription FAQ has been rewritten.

Fixed

Approve button back in your own brand color

The Approve button your customer sees on a quote is back in your brand color instead of the default orange, with a clean, calm look again. Your brand's button shape (rounded, square or pill) works again too.

New

See where your customer came from

The customer card now shows a Source field: where a new request came from. When someone lands on your request form via Google, Facebook, your own website or an ad, we capture the referring link and the full landing URL with every campaign parameter (utm, gclid, fbclid). So you can see, per customer, which channel brought them in. For existing customers we fill it in approximately where we can, marked as estimated.

Improvement

A tidier quote editor

The AI and customer panels in the quote editor got cleaner: a calmer, centered starting view with the example prompts up front, and the customer conversation now shows your customer's name right away. Attachments and version history look more consistent, and your terms & conditions now sit neatly as an attachment with a quick link to your company settings.

New

Rate tables below your quote

Got rates you want to show the customer but not count toward the price — an hourly rate for extra work, call-out costs, a half-day rate? Put them in a rate table below the total. They sit neatly apart, in the editor and for the customer in their own "Additional rates" block, and never count toward the quote price. Add one with the Add rate table button below your quote.

Fixed

Units always under control

The AI now only picks units from your own list (piece, hour, m², or your custom units) and no longer makes up new ones. Want to change a unit? Just ask in the AI chat ("change the unit to piece") or pick another one in the line menu — even if an odd unit is still on the line.

Improvement

A fresher, warmer look

The app now matches the fresh style of our homepage: brighter orange, white cards with soft shadows, rounder corners and buttons with a bit more depth. Everything works the same — it just looks a lot livelier.

Improvement

Phone number at signup

When you create an account we now also ask for your phone number, with a handy country picker (search by country or dialing code, with the Netherlands, US and UK pinned to the top). That lets us connect WhatsApp and SMS intake to your own number and recognize customers more reliably. The same picker now also appears in your company and profile settings. Existing accounts don't need to do anything.

Improvement

Backup AI ready during outages

Behind the scenes, DoneQuote now has a backup AI. If our main AI provider has an outage, we switch the whole app over to the backup in one go, so quote drafting, intake conversations and emails keep working. Once the outage is over, we switch back.

New

Give feedback from any page

There's now a Feedback button at the bottom of the menu, on every page. Give a thumbs up or down on how something works and add a short note about what could be better. We automatically know which page you're on, so we see your comment in the right context and can act on it quickly.

Fixed

A new line now survives a fast page reload

If you typed a line in the quote editor and reloaded the page right away, that last change could sometimes be lost. We now save your edit even when you leave the page just before autosave finishes.

Improvement

Cover letter now explains the work per service

The AI cover letter with your quote now walks through each of your services by default, explaining what you do and what the customer can expect. No more vague "see the quote below", and no need to ask for a fuller version.

Fixed

Quote detail tabs now work correctly on mobile

The tabs (Quote, Letter, Attachments, Appointments, Settings) were overflowing on small screens. They now scroll horizontally instead of bleeding over each other.

Fixed

The pipeline runs smoothly on your phone again

The pipeline view of your quotes sometimes froze on mobile and the duplicate menu flickered. That's fixed. You now swipe cleanly through one stage at a time, the action button on each card is visible right away, and you load more quotes with a button instead of endless scrolling.

Fixed

Logo no longer cut off in the quote preview

In your quote preview, your logo in the contact block could get cut off on the right edge, especially with a long email address or website. It now stays neatly inside the card.

Improvement

More robust customer data and addresses

Customer addresses are now cleanly split into street, house number, postal code and city — with address search that fills the address in for you, including in the request form and the AI intake. Business customers can have a separate billing address alongside the work address. And when sending a reminder you can now type in an email address right away if the customer doesn't have one yet, and save it to the customer at the same time.

New

Alert when an AI intake is left unfinished

Did someone start a conversation with your AI chatbot and drop off before it became a request? You now get an automatic notification about it, with whatever details the AI already picked up. That way you can follow up with that customer yourself instead of losing them. Turn the email on or off under Settings → Account → Notifications.

Fixed

Sent quote kept showing "Saved" over and over

After sending a quote, the Saved toast at the bottom could keep reappearing, again and again, for minutes. The editor kept re-saving the same quote even though nothing had changed. Fixed: it now only saves when something actually changed, so the toast appears once and then stays quiet.

Fixed

Request chat keeps working, always

The AI chat customers use to send a request could, in rare cases, get stuck on an unusually long or oddly formatted AI reply. Fixed: the chat now always shows the message and no longer freezes, so a customer can finish their request without interruption.

Fixed

Request chat no longer re-asks answered questions

The AI request chat could ask an already-answered question again later, in different words — for example asking how often to clean after the job got smaller. The chat now remembers per topic what the customer already answered and enforces it technically, so your customers never have to repeat themselves.

Fixed

Account creation works reliably again

The security check during account creation could wrongly report that verification failed on some addresses, blocking new users from signing up. Fixed: creating an account now works everywhere again.

Improvement

AI combines multiple templates into one quote

Does a customer ask for several jobs at once, for example window cleaning and facade cleaning? The AI now takes your best-matching template as the base and pulls the extra lines from your other matching templates, merged into one clean quote. Shared call-out or start-up fees are automatically collapsed into a single line instead of being charged twice. And your templates now also count when you start a quote yourself by describing the job in the editor.

Fixed

Full Video Preview on Landing Pages

The video on our landing pages now shows the entire preview image. You can see all the important information before pressing play, without parts of the image being cut off.

New

AI matches your templates on automatic quotes

When a request comes in through the form, email, or WhatsApp, the AI now first checks whether one of your templates fits the job. If the match is clear, the AI uses that template as the base and adjusts quantities, lines, and prices to the request; if nothing fits well enough, the AI simply drafts a new quote as before, because a wrong match is worse than no match. In the quote's version history you can see both the template that was used and the tailored version, and restore either one.

Fixed

Trash remembers the status, customer link closes on delete

A quote you restore from the trash now gets back the status it had, so a sent or approved quote is no longer reset to draft. And while a quote sits in the trash, your customer sees a friendly notice that the quote was withdrawn via the public link, with your phone number and email address for questions, instead of the full quote.

Improvement

No more accidental messages to the customer

In the customer conversation in the sidebar, Enter now simply adds a new line, so a half-typed message no longer goes to the customer by accident. You send with ⌘/Ctrl + Enter or the Send button, with a hint on the button so you spot the shortcut right away.

Improvement

Drag and drop files anywhere

You can now drop files directly onto the upload area for documents, price lists, quotes, logos, and customer conversations. Clicking to choose a file still works too.

Improvement

English site now on the new design

The English marketing pages (donequote.com/en) now use the same refreshed design as the Dutch site. Dutch and English pages share one structure, with market-specific copy, examples, and pricing. A simple footer switcher lets visitors move between Dutch and English.

Fixed

Conversation attachments are easier to find

Photos and files shared through a customer conversation now stay visible in the conversation and under Attachments on the quote.

Fixed

Your logo loads in emails again

Logos with a space in the filename showed up as a broken image in some email clients (like Gmail). That's fixed: your logo now loads everywhere. The quote email also reads better on mobile, with the details stacked neatly.

Fixed

Quotes look tidy on mobile

On narrow phone screens the public quote page sometimes overflowed: the send button in the customer chat, long email addresses, and the logo next to the contact details. It all fits neatly now. The approve/reject bar at the bottom has been redesigned with two clear buttons side by side.

Fixed

Publishing got stuck after an earlier send

Quotes with Agreements incorrectly showed "Agreements changed" after sending, and publishing again then failed with "No changes since the last sent version". That's fixed: the change list is accurate again, and when there's truly nothing to publish you now go straight through to the email screen.

New

Terms on the quote

Quotes now have a Terms tab for frequency, start date, payment conditions and your own terms. The customer sees this neatly between the proposal and the price. AI, templates and defaults in your quote settings fill them in for you.

New

English site expanded with blog, updates, and knowledge base

The English version now has more public content: blog, updates, FAQ, comparison pages, and a separate U.S. knowledge base for American small businesses. Product updates and product questions are translated; the knowledge base is separate so tax, contract, and payment guidance fits the U.S. context.

Improvement

Refreshed marketing pages

The public pages now have a calmer, clearer design with better mobile rendering, smoother interactive sections, and sharper typography.

Fixed

Extend and remind is more stable

After using Extend and remind, the quote page now settles cleanly: the old expired message disappears immediately and the saved notification no longer keeps coming back. The reminder copy is sharper too: DoneQuote only writes the short follow-up email and no longer accidentally reuses the original quote letter.

New

The AI now builds choices and packages for you

You no longer have to set up choice groups yourself. Ask the AI chat to "turn this into a choice" or "offer three packages for the customer to pick from", and the AI converts the group right away. If your AI instructions say you always want certain services offered as a choice, the AI builds that choice in automatically on a new quote. A plain price or text edit leaves your options untouched.

Let the customer choose: packages, options and rates in your quote

A quote can now do more than one fixed price. Set a group of lines to Choice (the customer picks one package, e.g. Basic or Plus), Optional (the customer ticks the extras they want) or Reference (rates for information only, not counted). The customer chooses live on the quote page and sees the total move along instantly. On approval the total is locked to the choices made — and you see exactly what the customer picked.
